High School

High school at Timberdoodle works the same way as the younger grades: one main program for each subject, with a handbook that schedules the year. Our 9th through 12th grade kits run from Math-U-See Geometry to Calculus, read through the four Implications of Literature books, and use the Friendly courses for science, starting with Friendly Biology in 9th grade and Friendly Chemistry in 10th.

For history, our Classic kits use The Mystery of History in 9th and 10th, then Notgrass courses like Exploring America for 11th and 12th; our Nonreligious kits use US History Detective 2 and The Nomadic Professor.

For electives we offer a variety of materials to cover thinking skills, STEM, art, and life skills.

If you're building your own year instead and would like to consider alternatives, Thinkwell's video courses cover math from algebra through AP Calculus, and Apologia's Exploring Creation books come with matching lab kits from Home Science Tools.
